On June 24, the municipality of Saint-Modeste launched its Municipal Family Policy (PFM), its Municipalité Amie des Aînés (MADA) policy and its action plan.

Cynthia Gamache, responsible for family and senior issues for the municipality of Saint-Modeste and president of the committee that developed the policy and its action plan, was also present and congratulated the committee for the work accomplished.

Since January 2020, it is under the slogan "Discovering our treasures" that this policy was reflected by the steering committee. This committee, made up of actors of all ages, coming from different sectors in order to reflect the diversity of the community of Saint-Modeste, has been able to stay the course, despite the sometimes difficult situation due to sanitary regulations and respond to the will of the MRC and the municipality to improve the living environment for all generations. Louis-Marie Bastille, mayor of Saint-Modeste mentioned that "with the collaboration of all, we will continue to increase our service offer and improve the safety and beauty of the municipality as described in our new policy and its follow-up. Many actions are already underway at this time".
